“Protecting What Counts” is a lived experience story that shares with audiences the relationship between “Protecting What Counts” and good Mental Health & Wellbeing.

Audiences will learn how Michael’s shift in thinking and looking at his life differently made a profound transformation in his Mental Health & Wellbeing, his work and his life in general.

Michael experienced a positive shift in his Mental Health & Wellbeing over the years simply by seeing, thinking, feeling and behaving differently.

Audiences will be able to learn from Michael’s journey and take-way positive strategies.

If you are a leader of a team consistently reinforcing Policies, Procedures, Standards, Risk Assessments, PPE with the hope and expectation that the increasing safety incidents trend will decline but it doesn’t, then “Safety Synergies” will open your mind about our own safety blind spots. 

Whilst Michael shares his personal experience as a leader working within the mining industry for 20 years, this interactive session is versatile and communicates to leaders and emerging leaders across a diverse range of industry sectors.

This interactive session has audiences understanding the importance of eliminating our tunnel vision (as a pose to only on an organisations Policies, Procedures, Standards, Risk Assessments etc.), and exploring additional proactive and add-value solutions. Looking at outside influences that may be a contributing factor to a teams safety incidents and identifying our safety blind spots whilst enabling our teams to work safely. 

Leaders and emerging leaders walk away with a change of thinking in their safety leadership style with strategies that can be applied within their work environment.

Throughout Michael’s career, giving to others has always been second nature. Whilst Michael never expected anything in return except a simple thank you, the gesture would in many cases be either returned or paid forward. 

Self-doubt can be one of our largest barriers in life when striving to be successful in anything we want to achieve. Helping others to succeed would later become key into Michael’s own success.

Michael shares how his natural traits of “Give To Succeed” would evolve to a  network of support and success in both his career and business.
